As important as it is to know when to brush, it is equally important to know how to brush. Make sure that you’re brushing your teeth for a minimum of two minutes with a circular motion. Spend an equal amount of time brushing each section of your mouth. You need to be brushing all surfaces of your teeth and gently massage your gums using a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove oral bacteria.

Replace Toothbrush Head

 A toothbrush cannot be expected to last forever and will experience some wear and tear over time. So don’t wait until it’s falling apart before you replace it.   • Drinks like sodas that contain a high amount of acidity and sugar – a double whammy on your teeth

Keep in mind that carbohydrates can increase the acidity in your mouth, as well as produce a lot of sugar, leading to tooth demineralization and decay. 

On the other hand, nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, and whole grains will reduce your odds of developing tooth decay.
